- Club founder and legendary patron of the sport of golf Bobby Jones initially intended for the Augusta National course to have a 19th hole. His reasoning was that losing golfers would have an opportunity to win their money back through a last-ditch double or nothing round.
- The map in the Augusta National logo is geographically in accurate. The pin and hole in the logo is really located on top of Alabama, not even in the state of Georgia at all.
- An authentic Masters Green Jacket was once purchased at a Toronto thrift shop for $5. The thrifter went on to sell the jacket for $140,000 at an auction in 2017 once its authenticity was confirmed.
